Phyla nodiflora 'pink'
Kurapia Pink
Description
This is a ground-hugging, creeping, rugged subtropical ground cover. It can serve as a lawn substitute that can take some traffic and be mowed. It attracts bees when it blooms. It is used in water gardens and for habitat restoration. Butterflies love this ground cover also. It is very adaptable and suitable in both wet and dry locations. Plant 2 ft. apart for a quick, dense, creeping turf only 2" tall. Pretty 1/2" lavender-pink flower clusters appear Spring through Fall, attracting many small butterflies and bees. Mow periodically to reinvigorate. This plant looks better with occasional deep watering and full sun. This highly versatile ground cover sod uses up to 60% Less Water than cool-season turf. Low maintenance for areas receiving light traffic, Kurapia blooms from May through October. Its sturdy structure is ideal for a multitude of uses!
