Hesperocyparis ariz v. glabra 'Blue Pyra
Blue Pyramid Smooth Barked AZ Cypre
Description
Blue Pyramid Smooth Barked Arizona Cypress (Cupressus arizonica 'Blue Pyramid') is a hybrid variety of the natural species. It is an excellent choice for small or medium-sized gardens that are looking for an evergreen specimen tree. This tree matures to about 25' tall and 10’-12’ wide, so it fits in most gardens and will not dwarf one-story houses. The maintenance is extremely low, requiring almost no pruning or fertilizing for the life of the tree. It prefers well-drained soil, but if it is planted in a very drought-tolerant garden, it will benefit from some supplemental deep-root watering a few times a year. This tree should be planted at least three feet away from any hardscape areas and 10 feet from structures such as houses and buildings. Shrubs and perennials should be planted about two feet away from this tree. It should be irrigated for about 45 minutes once a week when using most in-line drip irrigation systems.
